When I first moved abroad, I lost my ability to speak—literally. I was a trained language teacher… and suddenly, I couldn’t even order coffee in German. The fear of being judged, misunderstood, or “too much” silenced me.
But what I found on the other side of that silence became the heart of everything I now teach:
